During this 7-week course, my students (children 8-12) will learn the basics of sketching, composition, perspective, form, tone and light while gaining skills in watercolour, pencils, pen and ink. They also will engage in several large illustration projects spanning over several session to help them understand the creative process. Each class will start with a brief mindfulness exercise designed to help warm up the mind and let go off all the day’s events.
