The Murwillumbah Arts Trail
They now have an online art marketplace where you can buy clever and quirky art from NSW Northern Rivers artists year-round.
Highlights include collaborations with M-Arts around performance (think DJ and street art, physical theatre), the (almost secret) Arty Party to celebrate the opening of the pinkest pub in the Northern Rivers. A music program that is as off-the-wall as some of the art installations will complement a coalition of festivals from May 16 to 19.
The Kinship Festival celebrating Indigenous family and culture dovetails neatly with the Makers and Finders Markets that lead into a night of celebration with the Tweed Foodie Fest.
All the information is available on the website and there is a downloadable app where you can buy the art on exhibition - even if you aren't there!
This puts their regional art on the Australian tourism map. Don't miss them - it's an experience of a lifetime where a small town's big idea puts art and celebration front and centre.
Due to current advice on public gatherings, please contact the host of this event to confirm it is proceeding as planned.
