A half-day masterclass with Sarah Temporal to bring your spoken-word performance to life.
This 4hr intensive is for anyone who wants their words to shine in front of a live audience. Join prize-winning poet Sarah Temporal to explore the elements of connection, authenticity, vulnerability and craft. You will develop a 2-minute slam performance to present at the end of the session.
Finding your slam superpower is not a matter of increasing the volume or theatrics once your piece is written. It’s about finding the touch-points in your unique story that resonate in the moment, bringing your most authentic self to the stage. Take it from a shy slam poet – audiences want to see the real you.
This masterclass is suitable for anyone aspiring to write and perform powerful poetry. Poets with current works-in-progress are invited. Beginners who want an intensive introduction to Slam Poetry are also welcome.
The masterclass is timed to assist entrants prepare for the Poets Out Loud SUPER SLAM on May 11.
Morning tea is provided, BYO lunch.
